Contact Me

I have taught various classes at Boise State University over the last several years. These include several semesters of children’s literature as well as two years of teaching English to 10th and 11th graders in TRIO/Upward Bound.

Last year, I was the parent-teacher for my 5th grade daughter, at Idaho Distance Education Academy. This summer, I am teaching English as a Second Language to children and adults in China, (delivery is online). This fall, I will teach secondary English, full-time, at Connections Academy in Boise (delivery is online).

I participated in the BSU Spring 2015 eCampus Quality Instruction Program (eQIP); the Spring 2016 eCampus Quality Matters (TM) workshop; and the Fall 2015 eCampus Teaching Online Seminar (eTOS). I have also worked with faculty communities for Universal Design for Learning as well as Open Educational Resources.

I have a background that includes many years of teaching developmental writing. I have classroom experience in the urban areas of New Jersey and in several Idaho school districts.

And I have a profound passion for African American literature.
